Mid-century modern homes are disappearing from towns like Cherry Hill every year. This 1964 house was saved by a family who were moved by the architecture — a preservation renovation that clarified the plan and opened views to the landscape without erasing its original character.
An award-winning custom home shaped by its wooded site, its connection to the nearby Hadrosaurus discovery location, and the clients’ plans for long-term living. Interlocking volumes, warm materials, and a carefully organized circulation spine create a home that is both expressive and deeply practical.

HOW WE DESIGN
While the work is rooted in place, it begins with inquiry.
Every project starts with questions: about the site, the existing conditions, the surrounding context, and the way daily life needs to unfold within the home. We listen for what is working, what is missing, what feels unresolved, and what the home has the potential to become.
From there, we test ideas, challenge assumptions, and organize the many competing forces of residential architecture—light, circulation, privacy, views, budget, construction, zoning, and long-term use—into a clear architectural response.
The result is not a predetermined style. It is a home that feels natural, resolved, and specific to the people who live there and the place where it belongs.
